A standard tutoring session is 60 minutes in length. Diagnostic testing can take less time, depending on how long it takes for a student to go through the test.
We customize the overall lesson style to the student's learning type, and allow parents to add other supportive needs such as homework help as well.
Lower income families may qualify for a scholarship provided in the form of a sliding scale membership rate with our program. Please email [email protected] with "Scholarship Application" in the subject line to receive a scholarship application. Please note that applications for 2022 will only be accepted Jan 3- May 3.
Yes! Your child will be assigned a "tutor team" of 1-2 tutors we feel will be a good fit. If you ever want to switch out a member of your child's tutor team, simply reach out to your assigned tutor coordinator or customer service to make the request!
No! Only 3 months is required as a minimum for tutoring membership to get the best advantage. Every month thereafter is month-to-month. Provide a 15 day notice anytime to cancel.
Our tutoring program is conveniently virtual, but we believe that students can also benefit from in person assistance from time to time. Smart Boost offers in person pop up locations for members for a week at a time around key points of the year (finals, prepping for back to school and more!) to get in person assistance. Ask your tutoring coordinator for our 2024 -2025 pop up schedule in your area! This is a courtesy included benefit for all virtual tutoring members.
